About Zhixin Ge

Tools have grown clever in a way that is almost unsettling. AI reads for me, writes for me, thinks alongside me — and the price is that I hand over more than ever: a receipt, an unsigned contract, a half-formed thought. All of it has to travel to some server I cannot see, just to use a single feature.

And it is loud out there. Topics turn over daily, attention is sliced into fragments, and everyone is busy proving they are present. A world driven by appetite is not an exaggeration today: we are pushed to buy, pushed to display, pushed to spread our lives out for others to look at.

I have written software for over a decade, and I have seen too many systems quietly hoarding what their users give them. So I drifted toward a different kind of thing: nothing loud, nothing uploaded, no sign-up required. The words you write and the files you handle stay on your own device — encrypted where encryption makes sense, with the key in your hand. A corner that nobody disturbs is, by itself, a form of safety.

Zhixin Ge grew out of that. The name borrows two old sayings: “revisit the old and you may find something new” governs the notes — write it down, reread it later, and it slowly turns into your own judgement; “everything succeeds with preparation” governs the getting-ready — stock it up early, and the moment itself stays unhurried.

The first product, and a writing space that never needs the network. Entries are encrypted with AES-256 before they reach the disk — no account, no cloud, no tracking. Jot it on the iPhone, dictate on the wrist, read on the iPad, write properly on the Mac; one purchase unlocks all four.

Three things that don't change

If it can be done on your device, it doesn't get sent to a server.
What gets written down is what I've used myself, not the noise of the day.
No login means nothing of yours to collect.
